Mikunihare Shuzo, located in the Kurobe River alluvial fan, has been producing fine sake using the renowned water source “The Iwase Family’s Spring Water” and locally grown rice. Yukari Iwase, Toyama Prefecture’s first female brewmaster, works alongside her husband, Shingo Iwase, to bring out the full potential of this spring water. Together, they continue to brew sake cherished by the local community.
