Disseminating the appeal of Japanese sake.

Though the Hakuto Sake Brewery has gone through numerous difficulties, including the retirement of their Noto brewmaster, the replacement of ownership from their father to themselves, and the Noto Peninsula earthquake, they have overcome these difficulties with the support of the people around them. The couple is committed to preserving the taste of “Okunoto no Shiragiku,” which they learned from, and built the foundation with the great brewmaster Yukio Sakaguchi. There is nothing flashy about their days of diligent work, but there is a warmth that reminds us that sake brewing itself is a source of happiness.
