Koizumi Shuzo is a small brewery primarily focused on local distribution within the prefecture. However, it has demonstrated exceptional brewing skills, achieving recognition for 13 consecutive years at the Annual Japan Sake Awards and excelling in various competitions. The brewery has maintained a tradition of commitment to "high quality" sake, with the previous head serving as both owner and brewmaster. Today, the 14th-generation successor, Fumiaki Koizumi, carries on that legacy, staying faithful to the fundamentals while actively embracing new brewing challenges.
